About Us

History
It's Our Earth, Inc is a family owned business started in 2003 by Richard & Xristina Rahn in response to their daughters constantly urging them to recycle. They would follow us around the house and monitor our trash cans to make sure we were throwing our recyclable items in the correct bin. Realizing that this younger generation was making a difference, we were inspired and explored what we could do.

After searching for products that were being made from recycled material, we were dismayed to find our choices were limited. This observation is the basis for our philosophy of “Recycling only works when you are making and selling products made from recycled materials”.

From this point we started researching waste streams - ”What was being discarded that could be transformed into something new”. This lead to the development of various product lines which has resulted in the creation of recycling programs, education and inspiration, green jobs, and most importantly, choices for Earth Conscious Consumers.

From it's grass roots efforts, It's Our Earth has been a pioneer in the Green Movement, and continues to develop new and innovative products for this market.

Our Mission
It's Our Earth's mission is to lead, assist, and encourage environmental efforts targeted to achieve a 100% Recycling society. Our activities include the manufacturing and distribution of innovative and useful products made from recycled materials.

Through these activities we promote a "Buy Recycled" awareness and stimulate and challenge others to engage in creative recycling efforts.

Our Philosophy
Each generation has a responsibility to ensure that future generations can sustain life and thrive. As an all consuming society, we are rapidly depleting our environment of natural resources and running out of space to support landfills.

Future generations will have limited or no natural resources and live surrounded by a landscape dotted with noxious and hazardous landfills. We believe that there exists the ingenuity within our society to innovate uses and supporting processes to convert our current waste stream into a reusable source of raw material. This raw material will become our building block to the future. We believe we can achieve a 100% recycling society and bring hope to future generations.

To accomplish this, Recycling has to become autonomous. Recycle-Reduce-Reuse must be built into our culture and everyday habits. We must fix recycling programs that do not work, institute recycling programs where they do not exist, and continue to educate and innovate.
